Durgun ekonomi ve azalan talepler nedeni ile durma noktasına gelen bir ortamda, Sabancı Holding ve International Paper arasında imzalanan ortaklık sonucu kurulan Olmuksa Kağıt Fabrikası üç hafta sonra Edirne'de faaliyete geçiyor.
Edirne'de 380.000 m2 lik bir sahada tamamen yeni ekipmanlarla kurulan tesis, 2009 yılı içinde kullanılmış kağıt ve selüloz lifinden olmak üzere 70 bin tondan fazla üretim gerçekleştirilecek.
Olmuksa Kağıt Fabrikası, the Edirne-based joint venture between Sabancı Holding and International Paper, has commenced production after a three week halt due to the slackened demand amid a slowing economy.
“The facilities, founded on a 380.000 square meter site in Edirne, are now equipped to produce 70 thousand tons of paper over 2009. A new state-of-the-art paper mill for making fluting and liner type cardboards from used paper has been installed,” officers close to the company say.
